  • Dehydrated skin routine

    Dehydrated simply lacks of water. This is not considered as a skin type but as a skin condition. It is characterized by visible signs of dehydration such as itchiness, dull-looking skin, uneven tone, more noticeable fine lines. It can occur due to many factors, most commonly due to our modern lifestyle, such as prolonged sitting in air-conditioned offices or prolonged stay outdoors. Therefore, at the transition from summer to autumn or from winter to spring, we tend to dehydrate because of staying in the sun, ie staying in heated spaces.

    Dealing with this skin condition is relatively easy, with proper skincare to restore the skin's natural balance and the introduction of healthy habits.

    In skincare, it is good to look for natural humectants such as glycerin, natural betaine, hyaluronic acid, sodium lactate and sodium PCA that draw and retain moisture in the skin. Natural oils and butters protect the skin from moisture loss. And most importantly, look for a  facial cleanser that doesn't strip the skin protective barrier.

    Morning routine

    Cleanse: Moist the facial skin with lukewarm water and massage 2 pumps of re.start cleansing oil to form a milky emulsion. Rinse your face with lukewarm water and finish by rinsing with cold water for freshness and circulation

    : Spray 2 spritzes of re.breezy mist on the face and neck for a feeling of instant hydration and refreshment. We recommend that you do not skip this step. re.breezy is filled with humectants and antioxidants.

    : Apply 1-2 drops of re.water serum while the skin is still moist from the mist and massage it into the skin. Follow with pea-sized size amount of re.vamp complete active moisturizer and massage it into the face, neck and décolleté. Massage with upwards movements. Feel good in your skin all day long.

    Evening routine

    Let evening ritual be your moment of calm, self-care, and love. 

    : Spread 2-3 pumps of re.start cleansing oil onto dry skin, taking some time to massage the skin.  re.start cleansing oil dissolves make-up and impurities feeding the skin with nutrients from the synergy of organic oils. Wet your hands and continue to massage to create a milky liquid. Rinse with lukewarm water. When you remove all traces of cleanser, we recommend rinsing your face with cold water to refresh the skin and stimulate microcirculation.

    : Spray 3-4 spritzes of re.breezy mist on the face and neck for a feeling of instant hydration and refreshment. Don’t skip that step. re.breezy mist is rich in moisturizers and antioxidants.

    : Mix 2 drops of re.water serum and 1-2 drops of re.glow oil serum in your hand's palm and massage into the skin with upward movements. Close your eyes, and inhale the serenity of pure essential oils.

    Beyond skin surface

    Transepidermal water loss (TEWL) is constant and subtle evaporation of water from the top layer of our epidermis. TEWL reflects the health of the skin barrier. Lipids in the upper layers of the skin are necessary to retain the required amount of water in the skin. Linoleic acid, in particular, plays a vital role in the synthesis of barrier lipids.

    • Make sure you drink enough water.
    • Have a well-balanced diet for the benefit of the whole body and skin. Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids are especially useful for improving the lipid barrier.
    • Humidify the air during winter months.
    • Avoid too much coffee and diuretics that can promote dehydration.
    • Take care of a balanced sleep rhythm
