Dear Matinata community,
First of all, thank you for welcoming me into this beautiful story.
My journey with Matinata began, as Ivanka mentioned, in San Sebastián, where we were both spending a month building our companies and working toward our dreams. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I first tried Matinata. Throughout my life, I had tried everything. I have sensitive skin, used to experience eczema on my face, and had spent years trying even the most expensive skincare products on the market without ever truly finding my skincare ritual.
But when I met Ivanka and began using Matinata, something changed. The more I used the products, the more my skin seemed to want them, almost like real nourishment for the skin itself. My skin calmed down, balanced, and felt healthier in a way I had not experienced before.
During that month with Ivanka, another part of the story deeply moved me: the extraordinary level of thought, care, and intentionality behind every ingredient, every formula, and the philosophy behind the brand itself.
What drew me to Matinata was never just the products, although I genuinely fell in love with them from the very first use. It was the philosophy behind them.
In a world where skincare increasingly follows the path of endless lab innovation, aggressive treatments, and constant disruption, Matinata stands for something different.
We believe skincare should work with the skin, not against it.
It should support its biology, not overwhelm it.
It should be gentle, yet powerful. Transformative, yet respectful.
The skin already knows what to do. Sometimes, it simply needs the right support.
That is the path I want to continue with Matinata, returning to where everything truly begins: the skin itself.
Now, working alongside Ivanka and learning the deeper process behind Matinata, I can truly say that every small batch is a journey in itself, sourcing the highest quality ingredients, and taking the time needed to create products thoughtfully and intentionally.
The formulas, the values, the care, and the intentionality remain at the heart of everything we do. When the time came for Matinata to enter its next chapter, I wanted to be part of continuing and protecting the legacy Ivanka built, not changing what made it special.
I am incredibly excited for what is ahead and grateful to continue this journey together with all of you.
