Why “active” matters
In our world, active means botanicals and proven ingredients are present at concentrations chosen to hydrate, comfort, protect, and restore radiance. Each oil, extract, and molecule has a role. Together they become more than a list on a label — a ritual designed so your skin feels nourished, balanced, and quietly glowing.
Who carries the house
Matinata is owned by Natalie Boll and based in Mainz, Germany, while every batch is still made slowly in Croatia. In her forties, with sensitive skin and a gardener's love of plants, Natalie stewards the brand as skincare nutrition — protecting the original six formulas and bringing that ritual to women across Europe who care deeply about what they put on their skin.
The collection began with engineer-turned-cosmetic-chemist Ivanka Ćosić-Prižmić, in scientific partnership with the University of Ljubljana — created so nature and performance could live in the same bottle. That spirit continues, in careful hands.
